Is it safe for me to come for my dental appointment during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic? Expand

Yes. The scientific and medical communities all agree that the benefits of keeping up with regular dental care far outweigh the risks. Simply put, our office is an extremely safe place to be at this time. We’ve increased our already stringent infection control standards, screen all patients, and have spared no expense on aerosol management equipment. Click here for more details.

Do you take my insurance? Expand

We currently accept dozens of insurance plans and add new plans regularly. The best way to find out is to call (313)386-7660 or shoot us a quick email with your plan name and number or type and we’ll let you know! Info@drmikeizzo.com. Some of the well-known plans we accept are Delta Dental, BC/BS, MetLife, UCFW, Cigna, Humana, AlwaysCare, Guardian, United Concordia, Aetna, Reliance Standard, Priority Health and we are in-network with all Dentamax, Maveris, Connection Dental plans.

Note: If you are not using insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act passed in 2021. Full details on those rights are included in the next question in this section.

Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non- emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

I don’t have insurance. What are my options? Expand

We have many patients without dental insurance. Luckily, there are several options available. We offer an in-house dental plan that covers many services at one low yearly cost (and includes discounts if advanced procedures are necessary) and Care Credit can help with the cost of unexpected procedures. We also have many patients who a very affordable price 2x per year for cleanings and exams which help teeth stay healthy before problems develop.
